Cougs Jump Two Spots in Final Round at Canadian Collegiate Invitational

FOOTS BAY, Canada – Washington State golfer Ben Borgida fired a career-best six-under-par, 66, to push the Cougars up the leaderboard during Tuesday's final round at the 2024 Canadian Collegiate Invitational, held at the par-72, 7,157-yard Oviinbyrd Golf Club.

As a team, the Cougars moved up two spots over the final 18 holes after shooting a 4-over, 292, their best round of the tournament, to finish seventh at +17, 881. Notre Dame rallied from an 11-shot deficit entering the final day to post a 5-shot victory over first-day leader Missouri and Michigan.

Borgida, a redshirt-sophomore, posted a 6-under, 66, to move from 14th into a tie for fifth in the final standings, finishing the 54-hole event at 8-under, 208.
