CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Washington State men's golf team concluded the first round of the 2022 Oregon State Invitational in first place, as the Cougars shot 1-under; 284 to open the two-day tournament.
Washington State was the only team to card under par in the first round and went into the second round with a one-stroke lead over Kansas State. The Cougars maintained the tournament's top spot as second-round play was suspended to darkness, as Washington State held a two-stroke lead over Kansas State.
The Cougars had three golfers card par or better in the tournament's opening round.
