PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State women's basketball team earned a No. 5 seed in the 2023 NCAA Tournament, as the 2023 Pac-12 Champions will be heading to Philadelphia to take on No. 12 Florida Gulf Coast in the tournament's first round. This year's selection marks the third-straight March Madness trip for the Cougars.
The No. 5 seed for Washington State in this year's March Madness tournament is the highest seed that the Cougars have ever earned at the NCAA Tournament, surpassing last season's No. 8 seed. The Cougs will take on No. 12-seed Florida Gulf Coast this Saturday, March 18, at Finneran Pavilion on the campus of Villanova in Philadelphia.
