STANFORD, Calif. -- The No. 21 ranked Washington State Volleyball program (13-4, 4-3 Pac-12) fell to to the No. 2 ranked Stanford Cardinal Friday evening on the road inside of Maples Pavilion.
Set scores for the match were: 15-25, 28-30, and 12-25 in favor of Stanford (15-1, 7-0 Pac-12).
This contest between top-25 Pac-12 rivals saw the Stanford Cardinal out to an early lead with multiple small runs to see themselves ahead at 6-4 to begin set number one. Stanford extended that lead with a 4-0 run shortly after, pushing their advantage to 10-4 in the match.
