PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State women's basketball team got the 2022-23 season off to a hot start Sunday, Oct. 30, as the Cougars picked up a 64-40 win over Westmont in an exhibition contest at Beasley Coliseum.
In their lone exhibition game of the 2022-23 season, the Cougars got a standout performance from senior Bella Murekatete, who collected a double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds. The 26 points from the 6-3 center from Rwanda would've established a new career high in points had this been a regular season game. Murekatete hit 11 of her 15 shots from the field and added four assists to her stat line.
