MALIBU, Calif. (February 27, 2025) – Washington State women's basketball downed Pepperdine 57-49 Thursday afternoon to conclude the 2024-25 regular season with the best conference record in program history.
Although the Cougars (19-12, 14-6 WCC) didn't have their best shooting day, their defense stepped up, holding the Waves to 29 percent from the field and out-rebounded them 47 to 39.
Tara Wallack finished the day with 11 points and 10 rebounds for her fifth double-double of season, and the ninth of career.
Dayana Mendes led the offense with 14 points, to go with five rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal.
