The Winchell Cup win was WSU's eighth straight.
LOWELL, Ore. – No. 15 Washington State rowing swept Oregon State in all races to win an eighth-straight Winchell Cup, and the varsity eight captured the Crawford Perpetual Plate for a third-consecutive year at the morning session of the Oregon State Classic, Saturday on Dexter Lake at Lowell, Ore.
The Cougars also raced four wide with No. 1 Washington, UCLA, and OSU in the afternoon session, and the top-ranked Huskies won all races of the session, with WSU placing second in three of the four heats.
"The afternoon provided a timely opportunity to improve specific parts of the morning races and I think we were successful at that, across the board," said WSU head coach Jane LaRiviere.
