Cougars Sweep Pair of Matches to Improve to 13-2

LINCOLN, Neb. – Washington State tennis picked up a pair of victories Saturday, defeating host Nebraska 4-1 followed by a 7-0 win over Iowa State at the Dillon Tennis Center.

With the wins, the Cougars, ranked No. 31, improved to 13-2 on the season.

The day began with the Cougars taking the doubles point and then three singles matches to defeat Nebraska. In singles play, WSU captured wins at No. 1, 3 and 5 in straight sets to secure the win.

In the evening match, WSU again won the doubles point then swept all six singles matches to close out the 7-0 victory over Iowa State.
