Cougars Sit Third in Season-Opening Palouse Collegiate

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State Men's Golf posted a two-round score of 16-under-par, 552, completing the first day of play at the Palouse Collegiate tied for third at the par 71, 7302-yard Palouse Ridge Golf Club Tuesday.

The Cougars shot 10-under, 274 in the opening round and followed that with a 6-under 278 in the afternoon. Utah leads the field at 35-under, followed by Colorado at 26-under.

Individually, senior Franklin Lydra finished his first two rounds at 6-under, 136, tied for eighth overall`. Lydra opened the tournament with a 4-under, 67, followed by a 2-under, 69, in round 2.
