SPOKANE, Wash. – Washington State Tennis ran its winning streak to four following a 5-2 victory over Fresno State Saturday afternoon at the Stevens Center. With the win, the Cougars improve to 8-2 on the season while the Bulldogs fall to 6-5.
The day began with doubles and the Cougars jumped out quick to secure the opening point. At No. 2, Yura Nakagawa and Fifa Kumhom cruised to a 6-1 win over Carolina Piferi and Eliza Dunbar while the point was clinched at No. 3 where Hania Abouelsaad and Martina Markov completed a 6-2 win over Charlotte Gisclon and Mariya Vyshkina.
