Cougars Remain Fifth After 36 Holes at Badger Invitational

MADISON, Wisc. – The Washington State Men's Golf team improved by four strokes as three Cougars went under-par Monday during the second round of play at the Badger Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin on the par-72, 7,286-yard University Ridge Golf Course.

Host Wisconsin continues to lead the field at 15-under, followed by Long Beach State (-13) and Northern Illinois (-13), and Illinois State (-5).

Junior Sam Renner posted another strong round to lead WSU, firing a 5-under, 67, and is tied for second overall at 8-under, 136. Renner's second round featured seven birdies against two bogeys, and saw him go out at 4-under par on his front nine.
