LEWISTON, Idaho – Washington State football continued fall practice with its first practice in full pads Wednesday afternoon, working out for two hours at Sacajawea Junior High School.
The Cougars practiced in shoulder pads for the second straight day after opening camp with two days in shorts and helmets. The practice schedule was similar to previous days as WSU went through individual position workouts, a 1-vs.-1 drill while the lines went against each other in the running game drill, 7-vs.-7, some special team drills and wrapping up with 11-vs.-11 team.
The first drive of the team session saw redshirt-freshman running back Keith Harrington pick up first downs on back-to-back carries before redshirt-freshman quarterback Peyton Bender connected with redshirt-senior wideout Tyler Baker for 20-plus yard completion.
