PULLMAN, Wash. — Josh Hawkinson scored 20 points and guard Ike Iroegbu added 19 to lead Washington State past Texas Southern, 77-65 on Saturday night to remain undefeated at 4-0.
Malcolm Riley scored 23 points and Chris Thomas had 20 for the Tigers (1-5).
Washington State led 47-26 at the half after shooting 60.6 percent from the field and holding Texas Southern to 32.3 percent. The score was tied at 15-15 when the Cougars took control of the game with an 11-0 run midway through the half.
Riley scored 19 points in the second half, when the Tigers shot 57.
