PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State Women's Tennis team posted solid showings at both the WSU Hidden Duals and Milwaukee Tennis Classic Friday.
MILWAUKEE TENNIS CLASSIC
Washington State had a strong first day at the 2024 Milwaukee Tennis Classic, winning four of five matches overall at the at the Nicolet Tennis Center in Glendale, Wisc.
Junior posted a pair of victories in the singles draw to advance to the quarterfinal round. In her opening match, Alvarez Sande had little trouble with Mississippi's Emma Kette, winning 6-2, 6-4. In her second round, after a tight first set, the Cougar junior pulled away, defeating Wisconsin's Maya Bordereau 7-5, 6-1.
