PROVO, Utah – Washington State placed four players in the quarterfinals following the first day of play at the 2015 BYU Invitational Friday.
Senior Trang Huyhn and Maria Biryukova each posted straight-set wins in the second round, with Huyhn defeating Boise State’s Bobbi Oshiro 6-2, 7-6, while Biryukova cruised past BYU’s Brittney Eraso, 6-0, 6-1. Also posting second-round victories for WSU were sophomore Donika Bashota, a 6-1, 1-6, 7-5 victor over Boise State’s Nancy Menjivar, while freshman Aneta Miksovska defeated BYU’s Erica Valimaki, 6-4, 6-0.
