Cougars meet up with nationally-ranked distance programs at Joe Piane Invitational

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Washington State men's and women's cross country teams continued its their fall seasons on the road Friday, finishing ninth (19-22-37-63-102, 243 pts) and 10th (12-19-70-79-84, 264 pts), respectively, at the Joe Piane Invitational.

(16:57.0, 19) and (17:03.1, 22) led the way for the Cougar women while followed closely behind at 17:23.4 to place 37 overall.

Off of the second gun of the morning from the University of Notre Dame's Burke Golf Course, (23:44.6, 12) and (23:55.9, 19) ran with the front of the men's blue 5-mile field to lead the WSU men.
