PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State football team held its first scrimmage of the 2021 spring schedule, moving indoors to the practice facility due to inclement weather.
The Cougars found the end zone when running back Max Borghi raced 25 yards, starting up the middle before outracing the defense to the left pylon. The Cougars had other opportunities on drives inside the 20 but were not focusing on red zone plays this scrimmage.
Offensively, junior wide receiver Drake Owen had a big day, catching six passes for 139 yards, including three of 25-plus yards and a long of 50.
