PULLMAN, Wash.— The Washington State men's and women's track and field teams are again on the road this weekend. The teams will be heading over to Eugene, Oregon, for the Hayward Premiere, which will feature 36 schools from all levels of the NCAA. The meet will take place April 1-2 at Hayward Field on the University of Oregon campus.
The Cougars are off to a great start to the 2022 outdoor season with 10 student-athletes holding marks that would qualify them for the NCAA West Preliminaries. Two Cougars hold NCAA top-20 marks in field events, graduate student Mitch Jacobson is eighth in the high jump and freshman Valentina Barrios Bornacelli is 16th in the javelin throw.
