TACOMA, Wash. – The Washington State men’s golf team finished in fourth place at the Seattle U Redhawk Invitational presented by OGIO, Tuesday, at Chambers Bay Golf Course.
After carding a third-round 298 (+18), its lowest round of the tournament, WSU (+74, 922) finished 25 strokes back of tournament-champion Washington (+49, 897). TCU (+60, 908) and Oregon State (+68, 916) finished in second and third, respectively.
Freshman Aaron Whalen was one of three Cougars to finish in the top 25. Whalen shot 2-over par (72) in the final round to tie for 11th (+16, 228), eight strokes back of tournament-champion Jonathan Sanders of Washington (+8, 220).
