MONTEREY, Calif. – The Washington State men's golf team is in 13th place after shooting 23-over par (307) in the first round of the Saint Mary's Invitational, Monday, at Poppy Hills Golf Course.
In-state rival Gonzaga and Fresno State are tied for first after shooting 6-over par (290). Pac-12 competitors Arizona and Oregon State are tied for third with host-school Saint Mary's and Santa Clara (+12, 296). Idaho trails WSU by four strokes (+27, 311) and is currently in 14th.
Leading the Cougars is sophomore , who is tied for 13th after shooting 2-over (73).
