ORLANDO, Fla. – The Washington State University men’s golf team is tied with New Mexico for 14th place (+19, 307) through one round at the Tavistock Collegiate Inviational, Sunday, at Isleworth Golf and Country Club.
WSU is 28 strokes back from leader and fellow Pac-12 competitor, No. 30 California (-9, 279). No. 23 South Carolina is in second at 284 (-4) and No. 11 Arizona State rounds out the top three at 285 (-3).
“Our mistakes cost us a lot today,” WSU Head Coach Garrett Clegg said. “It’s going to be tough and windy tomorrow, but we need to do a better job competing.
