TUCSON, Ariz. (March 18, 2025) – Junior Sam Renner shot 3-under par, 68, in the final round to lead Washington State to an eighth place finish Tuesday at the 2025 Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate, played at the par-72, 7,533-yard Tucson Country Club.
As a team, WSU shot 14-over, 302, to finish the 54-hole event at 889, +25. Host Arizona captured the event with a winning score of 3-over, 867, one shot ahead of Long Beach State and two shots better than Utah.
Renner, whose second round Monday was halted by darkness with one hole remaining, finished that round with a birdie before opening his final round with another birdie.
