ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Washington State University women’s golf team placed 14th after finishing 26-over par (902) at the 2015 Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational, Tuesday, at the Championship Golf Course.
In its first event of the fall season, WSU competed against three other Pac-12 schools, including winner Stanford (-20, 856). Oregon tied for sixth (+5, 881), while Oregon State finished 17th (+63, 939).
Sophomore Alivia Brown carded four of the Cougars’ seven birdies in the third round. Brown finished the tournament tied for 26th. The Gig Harbor, Wash. native shot 1-under (72) in the final round to bring her total score to 220 (+1), nine strokes behind winner Sarah Cho (-8, 211) of Northwestern, who competed as an individual.
