COLFAX, Wash. -- John Whelan led the Washington State men and CharLee Linton and Devon Bortfeld led the Cougar women Tuesday evening at the Clash of the Inland Northwest cross country meet at the Colfax Golf Club, site of the 2015 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships.
Whelan, a junior from Etna, Calif., was the top Cougar man to finish the 6000m course in third place with a time of 17 minutes 47.46 seconds. Freshman Nathan Wadhwani from Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada, took seventh place in a time of 18:07.26.
