PULLMAN, Wash. – Wyoming quarterback Evan Svoboda connected with tight end John Michael Gyllenborg for an 18-yard touchdown pass with 25 seconds left to propel the Cowboys to a 15-14 win against the Washington State Cougars, Saturday, at Gesa Field.
Redshirt-sophomore quarterback accounted for 238 total yards for WSU, including two first-half touchdowns to give the Cougars a 14-6 halftime lead, but WSU was shut out in the second half.
Washington State wraps up the regular season with an 8-4 record while Wyoming finished its season at 3-9.
Down 14-9 with 3:39 left, Wyoming embarked on a 14-play, 90-yard drive that was capped by Svoboda's touchdown pass to Gyllenborg, which gave the Cowboys their first lead of the game.
