EUGENE, Ore. – Taking on their second top ranked team in as many games, Washington State (6-8, 1-2) suffered a 98-58 loss to No. 5 Oregon (13-1, 2-0) on the road at Knight Arena Sunday in Eugene, Ore. The Ducks used a big second quarter to put the game away, starting the frame on a 7-0 run before doubling their lead minutes later with a 10-0 run. Oregon was able to exploit their advantage in the paint as Ruthy and Satou Sabally combined for 33 first half points. In the third, the Cougars found their offense, shooting an impressive 10-for-14 in the period, only to see the Ducks match the effort going 13-of-18 with Hebard again leading the way with 12 more points in the quarter.
