PULLMAN, Wash. —No. 4 Washington State volleyball (15-2, 5-1 Pac-12) fell in a close four sets, 3-1 (31-29, 29-27, 23-25, 25-18), at the hands of third-ranked Stanford on Sunday in Bohler Gym. Another rowdy crowd on hand in Bohler forced the Cardinal into a season-high 19 serving errors, but WSU was edged out in extra points in each of the the opening two sets before falling, 25-18, in a decisive fourth set.
Argentina Ung fell just one dig shy of her career high with 17 to lead the Cougars on Sunday. She also added four kills and 42 assists on the afternoon, while Iman Isanovic finished strong to end the match with a team-high 14 kills.
