PULLMAN, Wash. -- Under sunny skies and mild temperatures, Washington State track and field competitors won 28 of the 37 events contested and claimed four meet records Saturday at the 17th Annual Cougar Invitational meet at Mooberry Track in Pullman. Additionally, Cougar men tallied 23 lifetime-best marks and WSU women had 18 PRs.
The WSU men hammer throwers started the day with a first-through-fourth and sixth place finishes but more impressive were that all five men threw lifetime-bests. led the way with a throw of 225-feet 3 inches (68.66m), a mark that fourth-best in WSU's all-time records.
