PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State tennis team opened its 2017 dual season in convincing fashion with a 7-0 victory against Seattle, Saturday at the Simmelink Tennis Courts at Hollingbery Fieldhouse.
The day began with doubles play as the Cougars quickly captured the opening point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3. At No. 2, and posted a 6-0 win over Barbara Carey and Madison Maloney, while and clinched the point with a 6-0 win over Majidah Cochran and Kailyn Skjonsby at the No. 3 position. At No. 1, the Cougar duo of and led Michelle Lui and Kali McCollister, 4-2, when the match was stopped.
