PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State tennis team opened and closed Saturday in similar fashion. The Cougars came out with a 7-0 showing against Northern Arizona. With the victory the Cougars improve to 8-0 on the season.
The Cougars wasted no time jumping out on top. For the seventh time in eight matches this season, the Cougars captured the opening doubles point. No. 2 Donika Bashota and Victoria Matejevic easily defeated Hanneke Lodewijks and Blanka Szavay 6-0 followed by Maria Biryukova and Trang Huynh’s dominating 6-1 win over Marta Lewandowska and Jordan Denesik at No. 1.
