PULLMAN, Wash. – Five Cougar players scored in double figures as the Washington State women’s basketball team (14-14, 5-12 Pac-12) defeated the University of Colorado, 83-70. The Cougars utilized a fast-paced offense to build an early lead which they never relented, scoring 45 points against the Buffaloes (7-21, 2-15) in the opening half. Freshman Borislava Hristova led WSU with 17 points in the contest, as the Cougars finished 29-of-55 (.527) from the floor.
“I’m really proud of our team. We were playing hard and fast,” WSU Head Coach June Daugherty said. “Our depth was a really positive factor for us tonight.
