SILICON VALLEY, Calif. - The Washington State women's golf team completed their first round of the Silverado Showdown co-hosted by Colorado and Oregon. The Cougars carded a 305(+17) to tie for 15th with Colorado State. The team sits ahead of New Mexico and San Francisco who put together 309(+21) and 312(+24), respectively. WSU and the rest of the field trail behind San Jose State, whose team carded an overall one-under, 289, going into the clubhouse.
Leading the way for the Cougars was senior Madison Odiorne. Odiorne put together an impressive one-over, 73, through the first round of play to tie for 15th individually.
