HONOLULU – Fifth-year senior Michaela Bayerlova won her second-straight singles match as Washington State wrapped up the second day of play at the Weinman Foundation Invitational Friday at the UH Tennis Complex.
The tournament's format saw WSU, host Hawaii and No. 9 California compete in singles and doubles against each other.
Bayerlova, after posting a three-set win Thursday against California's Hailey Giavara, followed that win with a straight-set, 6-2, 6-3 victory over Hawaii's Satsuki Takamura Friday. Sophomore Fifa Kumhom, who picked up a pair of wins Thursday, dropped a 6-2, 7-5 decision to Hawaii's Lea Romain.
