FOOTS BAY, Canada – Washington State redshirt-sophomore Ben Borgida fired a four-under, 68, in the second round to highlight the Cougars' first day of play Monday at the 2024 Canadian Collegiate Invitational, held at the par-72, 7,157-yard Oviinbyrd Golf Club.
As a team, the Cougars sit tied for ninth with the University of British Columbia in the 10-team event after finishing the first 36 holes at 13-over par. Missouri leads the event at 22-under followed by Michigan and Notre Dame, both at -11.
Borgida opened his day with a 2-over, 74, before catching fire in his second 18 holes with a 4-under, 68, a round the featured six birdies.
