SPOKANE, Wash. — Jared McAlvey clocked one of the top-15 400m hurdles times in the nation with a season-best 50.86 (second-fastest in the Pac-12 this season) to earn one of six combined wins for the Washington State men's and women's track and field teams Friday at the one-day Whitworth Peace Meet from Boppell Track and Whitworth Pine Bowl.
Ashley Hollenbeck ran a personal-best time to win the women's 100m dash in 12.23 and later placed second in the women's 200m dash with a season-best 25.35. Ethan Willems won the men's 200m dash with a personal-best time of 21.
