PULLMAN, Wash. (March 3, 2023) – Washington State collected 16 hits and delivered the go-ahead RBI-single in the seventh inning of a 7-5 victory over Southern Indiana in front of 1,126 fans at Bailey-Brayton Field Friday afternoon. Friday's series opener was also the Cougars' home-opener.
Six Cougars recorded multiple-hit games led by three-hit performances from who homered, and as WSU improved to 8-1 for the second time in the last three seasons. Brown hit a two-run home run in the first inning and Magee broke a 5-5 tie with the go-ahead two-out RBI-single in the seventh inning.
