BOSTON — Washington State freshman Eva Lowder finished in a tie for 15th in the women's pole vault, and Mason Mahecek placed 12th in the heptathlon as the pair represented WSU at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Championships this weekend. Lowder's final mark of 4.15m/ 13' 7.25" in the women's pole vault closed the first day of competition at The TRACK at New Balance, while Mahacek wrapped up the final three events in the heptathlon Saturday afternoon in downtown Boston.
Lowder, who qualified for the championships with a program-record mark of 4.35m at last month's Ken Shannon Last Chance Invite, cleared 4.
