Box Score PULLMAN, Wash. (January 22, 2023) – Washington State captured the first four singles matches in straight sets to secure a 4-3 victory over Gonzaga Sunday afternoon at the Simmelink Tennis Courts at Hollingbery Fieldhouse.
With the win, the Cougars improve to 2-0 on the season and move to 24-1 all-time against Gonzaga. The Bulldogs fall to 2-1.
Gonzaga captured the opening doubles point following come-from-behind victories at No. 1 and 2. WSU struck first on Court 3 when Yura Nakagawa and Fifa Kumhom came away with a 6-4 win over Kianna Oda and Rose Hayes.
