PULLMAN, Wash. – The Pac-12 Conference has released its 2016 football schedule and Washington State will host seven games in Martin Stadium, highlighted by conference opponents, Oregon, UCLA and concluding with the Apple Cup against Washington.
“For the first time since 1999, the Cougars will play seven home games in Martin Stadium,” said WSU Director of Athletics Bill Moos. “Coming off our second bowl game in three years, I anticipate capacity crowds watching the Cougars play some of the top teams in the country.”
The Cougars open their 2016 schedule Saturday, Sept. 3 against Eastern Washington, an opponent they defeated 24-20 in 2012, the first home game under Head Coach Mike Leach.
