BYDGOSZCZ, Poland -- A trio Washington State newcomers and a rising sophomore competed at the 11th European Athletics (Track & Field) Championships last week at Zawisza Stadium in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
, from Novi Sad, Serbia, finished seventh in the women's javelin with a throw of 161-feet 11 inches (49.37m). Kamasi, a rising sophomore at WSU, had a personal record best throw this spring of 171-8 (52.32m) which is the school Freshman Record and is third-best in Cougar women all-time records.
Incoming WSU freshmen Zorana Grujic and her twin sister Jelena Grujic, also from Novi Sad, Serbia, also competed.
