RADFORD, Va. -- The Washington State volleyball team (1-1) tallied a sweep Friday night with a 25-18, 25-17, 26-24 win over Elon (0-1) at the Radford Highlander Invitational tournament held at the Dedmon Center.
WSU’s Kyra Holt and McKenna Woodford combined for 26 kills. Holt, a junior, had 14 kills, hit .222 and added seven digs and one ace. Woodford, a freshman, had 12 kills, hit .370, had seven digs, one ace and two blocks. Freshman Taylor Mims had seven kills while hitting .600, and led the match with four blocks. Kate Sommer had 17 digs.
