PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State Tennis swept all six singles matches in straight sets en route to a 7-0 victory over Montana Saturday morning at the Simmelink Tennis Courts. Later in the afternoon, the Cougars defeated Eastern Washington, 5-2, for their second victory of the day.
With the wins, the Cougars improve to 2-2 on the season, while both Montana and Eastern Washington fall to 0-2.
Cougar senior Melisa Ates highlighted the day as she posted a pair of singles victories, including the match-clincher against EWU, to push her career singles win total to 91, sixth all-time at WSU.
