One of Washington State’s most successful athletics programs—probably the most successful—is headed to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the third straight season.
Makamae Gomera-Stevens scored in the 62nd minute and it was all WSU needed to send the AAC champions packing. The Cougar defense held Memphis to just four total shots, with two of those on goal and one that hit the post. WSU had 16 shots, seven of them on goal.
