SPOKANE, Wash. — Washington State men's and women's track and field teams combined for four wins on the track and a pair of wins in the field in Saturday's Spokane Invitational. (women's 60m hurdles, 8.40), (men's 60m, 6.70), (women's 300m, 37.67), and (men's 300m, 33.71) captured their first wins on the track this winter and (men's weight throw, 16.76m) and (men's triple jump, 14.71m) also came away with first-place finishes as the Cougars opened the 2023-24 indoor season from The Podium.
The Cougars saw a number of transfers and first-year student-athletes make their debut in the lone December meet on the WSU schedule, but it was the veterans that stole the headlines in the opening meet of the season.
