PULLMAN, Wash. (April 16, 2021) – Junior outfielder drove in a career-high six runs and the Cougar offense collected 23 hits as Washington State defeated No. 13 Arizona, 21-2, in the series-opener Friday afternoon at Bailey-Brayton Field.
The Cougars (17-12, 5-8) picked up the series-opener by scoring 15 runs in the first three innings and never looked back against the Wildcats (21-11, 7-6).
WSU collected 23 hits in the game, tied for the sixth-most in school history and the most since collecting 23 against Seattle, Feb. 21, 2010. led the way as he tied his career-high with four, while McKeon, , , and each added three hits.
