EUGENE, Ore. – The Washington State Track & Field program saw three Cougars from the men's squad competing in the finals of their respective events at the NCAA Championships Friday evening.
"It was an awesome season, and this group has been absolutely amazing," said head coach Wayne Phipps. "Their commitment, dedication, and performances have been awe-inspiring."
Paul Ryan ran in the 1500-meter finals to get things rolling for the Cougars on the track, as he went on to finish eighth overall with a time of 3:40.50. Ryan ran a solid race overall, as he would stick close to the leaders throughout multiple splits of this race.
