SAN DIEGO - Washington State improved to 7-1 with a 29-26 fourth-quarter comeback victory at San Diego State Saturday evening. Check out the postgame notes from the win.

• WSU recorded its third fourth-quarter comeback win of the season (San Jose State, at Fresno State)
• WSU beat San Diego State for the second time in series history, leads all-time series 2-1

• Mateer matched a career-high with 21 carries (Texas Tech) for 42 yards and two touchdowns
• Mateer's 10 rushing touchdowns this season are tied for second-most in WSU single-season history by a quarterback (Timm Rosenbach, 1988) and trail Samoa Samoa's top mark of 11 set in 1980
• Mateer's 13 career rushing touchdowns are tied for fourth-most in WSU history by a quarterback (Ryan Leaf, Cameron Ward)
• Mateer's 575 rush yards this season are the most by a quarterback in WSU single-season history
• Mateer pushed his career rushing yard total to 725, passing Timm Rosenbach for third-most by a quarterback in WSU history

Kyle Williams caught five passes for 74 yards, his 45th consecutive game with a catch, owns a catch in all 45 career games played (1st 25 at UNLV (2020-22)
Carlos Hernandez caught a touchdown pass for the second straight game, his second career TD
Cooper Mathers caught his fifth touchdown of the season, setting a WSU single-season record for TD receptions by a tight end (4, Chris Leighton, 1987)
Tyson Durant matched a career-high with eight tackles
• Buddah Al-Uqdah picked off his third career pass, second straight game with an interception
Kyle Thornton made his 21st career start, matched career-high with two tackles-for-loss
Ansel Din-Mbuh made a career-high three sacks, had 1.
