LEWISTON, Idaho – Washington State football opened fall practice with a two-hour workout in helmets and shorts at Sacajawea Middle School Saturday afternoon.
The Cougars opened practice by working through their similar routine of individual position workouts, a 1-vs.-1 drill while the lines went against each other in the running game drill, 7-vs.-7, before working punt coverage and wrapping up with 11-vs.-11 team.
In the team session, the defense had the advantage from the start as Paris Taylor, Darius Lemore and Darrien Molton each had interceptions. Darryl Paulo and Hercules Mata’afa combined for a sack of Peyton Bender while Jeremiah Allison later added a sack of his own.
