CORVALLIS, Ore. (April 26, 2019) – Washington State dropped its series-opener at No. 2 Oregon State 18-4 at Goss Stadium Friday evening.
Every Cougar starter recorded a hit led by Jack Smith and Danny Sinatro who each had two hits but WSU combined to leave 11 runners on base. Oregon State scored in each of the first five innings and tallied 17 hits to take the opener.
In the first, Oregon State pushed a pair of runs across in the opening frame on a wild pitch and a sacrifice fly for a 2-0 advantage.
