PULLMAN, Wash. (March 20, 2024) – All nine Washington State starters recorded a hit as the Cougars finished off a two-game sweep with a 10-3 win over Seattle U at Bailey-Brayton Field Wednesday afternoon.
WSU (12-8) saw third baseman collect three hits and drive in two runs while left fielder , first baseman and centerfielder each added two hits. Swarts and Cramer each stole a base, designated hitter hit his first career home run and senior picked up the win with three scoreless innings of relief, striking out three along the way.
Sotomayor hit a two-run shot in the first inning, Seattle U (6-14) evened things at 2-2 with a run in third before the Cougars scored in the next four innings including three-run fifth and sixth innings en route to the 10-3 win.
